Riding a scooter on Koh Samui can be a fun and very convenient way to explore.

It's essential to

Wear a Helmet:

Always wear a approved helmet to protect your head in case of an accident.

If you are not comfortable with the helmet that is given to you, please ask for something that has a better fit for your head size.

Clasp the helmet strap or it will just FALL OFF!

Familiarize yourself with the local traffic laws and road signs, as they may differ from your home country.

If you’re not an experienced scooter rider, practice in a less crowded area before venturing into traffic.

Stick to your lane and avoid weaving in and out of traffic.

You are safer IN the lane and keep up with the traffic flow.

Respect local driving customs and DO NOT SPEED.

Just because the locals don’t use them or use incorrectly does not mean you should follow their bad example.

Indicate your turns and lane changes using the scooter’s turn signals and in heavy traffic use hand signals.
